Our Story
Of all the places to meet, Carl and I actually met online! After many hilariously awful messages (oh the stories I have!), I received a message from a young man who DIDN'T look like a creep and wrote in full sentences and with correct grammar! I was intrigued that he was into the medieval living history group I participate in, had varied interests, and that his profile read very earnestly and made me smile...I decided to message back, and crossed my fingers hoping that he wouldn't turn out to be a creep.
For our first date, I decided to test his sense of culinary adventure, and so we met at my favorite Indian restaurant. Ever since then, we've greatly enjoyed trying new restaurants together, especially those with foreign cuisines (a bit of a passion of mine). We've gone on roadtrips near and far, been to a 'secret' speakeasy, have whacked people with sticks and steel, and have planted our own little garden on our balcony.
We've definitely shared a wide assortment of experiences together! I'm so very glad to have found someone who shares many interests with me. Our relationship has continuously grown stronger day by day, especially with the addition of our beloved 'fur baby' Aoife; our giant Maine Coon.
Here's to a relationship of mutual eccentricity, adventure, fun, and good food! Even more importantly, of trust, commitment, laughter, and, of course, LOVE.
Eve is from Grafton, New York. She is the only child of Stephen and Eileen Billings, and grew up with horses and dogs who were like her siblings in a way.
Eve is classically trained in violin and opera, and loves to dance and perform.
Eve attended college at University at Albany, studying Spanish linguistics, language, and culture; as well as International Political Science. She currently works at the New York State Department of Health; and has a successful henna art business, Henna By Eve.
Carl is from Vernon, Vermont. His parents are James and Raye Liebfried, and his older brother is Jacob Liebfried.
Carl is a skilled gunsman, having participated in many high power rifle tournaments and shooting matches. He is also an accomplished paintball player.
Carl attended college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, studying Mechanical Engineering. He currently works at International Electronic Machines. He has traveled to Indonesia twice to implement and install devices he designed for the Indonesian government.
