Today is our last full day in Ireland. We travel to Bunratty Castle in County Clare, where we will be staying at Bunratty Castle Hotel closeby. We will visit their fantastic park filled with historic reenactments from medieval to 19th century. I remember there being a nice little bakery with some delicious scones with fresh cream, so I'm already looking forward to those! And I remember a great gift shop, too...hmmm....

Back on topic-we will be spending much of the day at the park around the castle, followed by a medieval banquet dinner! (Are you surprised in the least?). My parents and I attended one at the castle

during our first trip in 2007, and it was spectacular! There were people playing period instruments and they were dressed in some well...not quite so period-correct garb...but that's ok! If they had crushed stretch velvet, they would've worn it! The food was tasty and they were very interactive with the audience. All in all, an amazing way to end our fairytale wedding and honeymoon! We'll probably go to bed early for our morning flight out of Shannon Airport the next day.

This is a trip none of us will ever forget, and will be one of the happiest of my memories. We will be looking forward to seeing everyone when we come home, and we are so excited to finish planning our reception for people to attend! Thank you for reading our mini-blog about our trip, we're very happy to be able to share our joy with you :)
